Campaign to name Kelly Springfield rooms opens

Lee Fiedler has kicked off the . Mr. Fiedler’s name, and those of all who contribute, will be listed at the entrance of the Kelly Rooms.

During the 1990s, Lee Fiedler was the president and CEO of the Kelly Springfield Tire Company. In 2000, the year following his retirement from Kelly-Springfield, Fiedler was elected Mayor of Cumberland. In 2001, Mr. Fielder was inducted into the Tire Industry Association Hall of Fame.

People who pledge a minimum of $100 will have their names, or the names of someone they wish to honor, on permanent display. Pledges should be made as soon as possible, and may be paid in installments from 2015 to 2020.

Mr. Fiedler visited the Museum Fiedler check presentationwith Kelly Community members Lloyd and Patricia Christner and Dave Pyles, to present their pledges. Mr Fiedler urges all who value the preservation of our local history to make a pledge.

Allegany Museum will display the Christmas angels from their archived collection, and angels loaned by the community over the Holiday Season.
The display will be unveiled with the annual downtown tree lighting on Friday, November 27th, 2015. Most of the display will be in the grand court room.
