This young lady is in the Allegany Museum – but until now has been hiding from view.
This is about to change!
She, her friends, and other memorabilia will emerge on October 22 for the endowment reception to honor former employees and their families of the Cumberland Kelly Springfield Tire and Rubber Corporation, and Lee Feidler, former president and CEO.
The Museum Board and Advisors would like to invite you to consider providing memorabilia relating to the company’s time in Cumberland for a temporary display.
To loan an item or items for temporary display from October 22 to 26, contact Marie Kujenga, Collections Manager, collections@alleganymuseum.org by Friday October 2.
She cannot consider items that are offered less than 14 days before the Reception.
The Museum has a number of items now in storage that will be exhibited along with those on loan, and we do not wish to duplicate items we already hold. Although we are grateful for your interest, we do NOT need newspaper clippings, key chains, and other small corporate gifts such as tie clips, pins, matchbooks and clocks.
We also have a good collection of ashtrays, although if you have ashtrays dating from the 1960s or 70s, we would be interested in displaying them. All items should, of course, be in good condition.
